Is it possible to install Wesnoth on a Raspberry Pi?
I just got mine and I was thinking, could I get Wesnoth on it and run it on a TV? From what I can tell, it should have the graphics horsepower -- if it runs on an iPad it should run on the Raspberry too given that the hardware's similar -- but it doesn't support Open GL, only the ES version of it. T...

Re: iPhone port of Wesnoth?
Please don't port Wesnoth to the iPhone! I'll never be able to get away from this game if you do. The iPhone wasn't meant to be a gaming device, only a digital MP3 player with such capability but not specifically designed to do so. The PC was also not originally designed as a gaming device, but it ...

Re: Can sound be output in more than 2 channels?
The speakers work with DVD's and games - I've tested particularly PES 2008 and WoW - but they don't work, for instance, with flv movies (YouTube and the like). I have been poking around google a bit and there are people with similar setups having issues, but it's always *no* surround in any circumst...

Can sound be output in more than 2 channels?
I just got a spiffy new (well, old but just installed, long story) 7.1 sound system for my PC and was wondering if Wesnoth can output to more than 2 channels. I don't expect it'll have "real" surround sound, but I'd like to have, say, the background music coming out of all the speakers for...

Re: Scenario Review: (UTBS) 5. A Subterranean Struggle
Well the trolls are the logical strategic choice; they give you units that plug your night-time weakness with lots of hp and some spiffy special attacks along with pretty much the same dwarvish mountain/cave advantages. What do the dwarves bring of new and interesting besides a one-off powerful atta...

Re: Wesnoth 1.5.0
If someone compiles the macOS vers. I will download it... I tried compiling the source once - it resulted in me having no clue what I was doing :) P.S. It's been two weeks so I think I'm all right in asking what's up. Is anyone working on it? :? anakayub is, check this thread for progress. I might ...

Re: Unofficial 1.4.2 for Mac OS X
Hm, what do you mean by the logs? Actually the game works fine on my comp, the problem is installing it correctly on others'. And I don't play HttT :P . I assumed there would be error logs somewhere :P seems I was wrong. My memory tells me that one should be able to coax Wesnoth into producing some...

Re: Unofficial 1.4.2 for Mac OS X
Right, where are the logs? I can't seem to figure that one out >_>
Anakayub, have you tried out HttT?
EDIT: Rebooting the game seems to have solved it >_> question stands on the logs though...

Re: Unofficial 1.4.2 for Mac OS X
Compiled (seemingly fine) on OS X 10.4.11, XCode 2.4. Biggest problem was getting the SDL frameworks, but google came to the rescue. Uploading it to my little corner of the web, will post the link once it's up. EDIT: it's up at http://nfist.ist.utl.pt/~pqueiro/Wesnoth_MacOSX_1.4.2.dmg The usual disc...

I find that there are two houses in the middle of the forest northwest of your keep that make for a good defensive line. Two archers and two fighters to make said line, two shamans to heal them; rush them there and take Delfador and Konrad as straight as you can towards that line. The elves will get...

Thing is, you also stand a pretty decent chance not to hit all three times - thus not killing the thief, particularly at night, when you do -25% - and your counter is nigh useless against them... and it only gets worse if, say, it's two thieves backstabbing you :P which means that your expensive mag...

Re: The Eastern Invasion- Evacuation. AI and gold observatio
Since I've discovered it's nearly impossible not to lose a few veterans on each stage, gold has become more important to me. Not quite. That's where skill comes in. Picking your battles and correct strategies allow you to minimise that loss - and if a loss is imperative, that's where the meat shiel...
