Re: My second map, your opinion please!
Typically, windmills are not villages, and modifying them to behave as villages is probably a bad design, because players will expect them to just be cosmetic.

Re: Best and Worst MAINLINE campaigns and scenarios
It's been a long time since I played NR, but if I recall the first scenario correctly, there are several enemy sides fighting each other. What you kind of want to do is let them wear each other down, and poach kills of wounded units whenever possible.

Re: Chosen type of attack
I'm pretty sure he was asking about the attack that gets recommended by the game when the player attacks an enemy unit, not which attack the AI-controlled sides select when they make an attack. I may have misunderstood, though.

Re: I think it is time to kick out bad mainline campaigns!
Just adding an extra note because it hasn't been said. You seem to misunderstand what open source means. Open source does not mean that everyone gets a say in the direction of the project. Open source does mean that anyone can use the code and resources as long as they obey the licensing restriction...

Re: Chosen type of attack
I think it works as follows: If your unit has a chance to die, the recommended attack is the one with the lowest chance to die. Otherwise, if your unit has a chance to kill, the recommended attack is the one with the highest chance to kill. Otherwise, the recommended attack is the one with the highe...

Ah, I misunderstood what you meant by "more damage." My mistake.

Re: Faction/leader choices - random?
(Also, if you want to deal damage, the Red Mage is probably better than the Elvish Marksman. Less flimsy, more damage, better damage type (Elves have piercing covered ).) Red mage does 8-4. Marksman does 9-4. Also, the marksman has 6MP and a better move type, which makes a bigger difference. On a l...

Re: Password for hotseat (local) multiplayer
This is not related to FPI #14 at all. That concerns loading single player games, usually to get different results from the RNG. This idea relates to multiplayer hotseat, with no saving or loading involved.

Re: Default 1 min count down timer pls
I'd rather have the timer default to a higher setting than a lower one. An unexpectedly long timer will make the game potentially slower. An unintentionally short timer can make the game unplayable, forcing a restart when it's noticed.

Re: I have many ideas for developing this game.
Unfortunately, the developers (that is, the people who do all the work) disagree with you, and probably most of the community does as well (if they didn't, they wouldn't be playing BfW, most likely.) Since BfW is open source, though, you are welcome to fork it and make all the changes you think woul...

Re: Freaken Zombies everywhere
Walking Corpses are awesome in multiplayer. Free units? Totally worth feeding them kills for, especially if you can level them up.

This was basically my point. The fact that you are an atheist, objectivist, rationalist, or whatever is not relevant to the discussion.The_Other wrote:How on Earth does atheism (or, for that matter, any other ideology) relate to the fighting style of fictional zombies?
