Re: white mage in NR
Usually, the two White Mages in NR are immortal by design. I can not look at the replay right now but it should go like this: When Sister Thera or Father Morvin are killed, a witty bit of dialogue appears and they are brought back in proximity to each other. This can be easily "exploited" ...

Re: Bowmen should be revisited ?
I know, when these discussions come up we are talking mainly about MP . That being said, in campaigns, bowman, especially once leveled, work great and here's why: When you can recruit bowman, chances are high you will face orcs repeatedly. With their lack of ranged attacks bowman shine in wearing do...

Re: How to deal with [censored] happening?
One little thing I like to mention one these occasions, for campaign play only though: If there's a separated enemy unit that's one hit away from being killed, don't waste your strikes on it. Let it either kill itself from retaliation the next turn, or attack it later when no other targets are avail...

Re: Choose your side
It would probably be much easier to make a UMC-campaign that features all the characters from, in this case, AOI, and clone-rewrite all scenarios. I've had this kinda thought very early on in my history with BfW but never got into it.

Re: Facebook
torch, I get the feeling that wesnoth is more appealing to that kind of gamer that also wants to create their own stuff. From my own personal experience, I was brought here only by a link in a forum of a different game (glest if anyone wonders) where I was beginning to alter the existing stuff by si...

Re: Happy New Year!
Hmmmm ... Sky One, you think one could eventually blame Wesnoth for smoking ? :hmm: Well, of course, I did not blame Wesnoth at all. It is just smoker's jest. I meant both BfW and smoking are addictive, and HomerJ probably can understand it as well. Ehm, not really, I post that every year. It's not...

Re: Happy New Year!
Happy 2014.
Don't get discouraged in the first weeks if not everything goes awesome right from the start, from my experience the first 12 months of a year are the worst.
I will try to quit smoking, but I have my doubts I can.

Yep, that's a fun thing to do!taptap wrote:It must be a pain - especially in the underground scenarios. Anyone made a no recalls playthrough?
Thread is horribly outdated though and needs a reviving if you ask me.

Re: Space Ships
:hmm: the Borg Cube is the exact opposite of the Deathstar and would PWN it in combat? Of course not, that's the beauty of the borg, one or two cubes would get destroyed, but eventually, the deathstar will be overrun by drones and assimilated. [Epic Moment Of Clarity] They are like space-zombies! G...

I also remember seeing a quote by a sf writer saying something to the effect that Star Trek was <inflamatory comment deleted>, Star Wars was <inflamatory comment deleted> and the only true sf series was Dr Who, and he'd take anyone who said otherwise on alone or in groups  I am just recently c...
