Re: Movies discussion
Hey, it's been bumped... again. Might as well say that I've been watching "Shin Godzilla" (2016) -- it is a fast-paced thrill ride I'll not soon forget! I love that it's really about how a country responds to such an outlandish emergency, and spends a lot of time showcasing the all the dec...

Re: Books discussion
Currently reading "Nephilim" by L.A. Marzulli. It's essentially an alien-invasion-meets-archeological-discovery story, but with Biblical foundations. As someone who's been quite taken with anything to do with the antediluvian period (the world preceding the Great Flood), I'm finding it com...

Re: Selecting and Moving Only One Unit At a Time
Show what you have so far. I might be able to help you better. More generically, as Ravana has said. ...code stuff... It's something like that. Ah-ha! That seems to be working, thank you! The missing piece for me was this: {RANDOM 0.."$($unit_array.length-1)"} The "-1" after len...

Re: Selecting and Moving Only One Unit At a Time
Okay, could someone please explain how to make an array work more specifically? Try as I have, I can't seem to figure it out :augh: Again, I want all of a certain unit type to be stored, then every new turn, ONE is selected to be modified into a "goto_y/x" location, which will also be a si...

Re: Selecting and Moving Only One Unit At a Time
But is there a way to select 1 Galleon unit to assign such things, without applying it to every unit of that type? All the units are stationary, and I want 1 to be selected every turn, but the rest to remain as they are. I don't want the next Galleon to start moving after the previous has landed, I ...

Adventers of Knighthood (v1.2.0) - BfW 1.15
Adventures of Knighthood (v1.2.0) is now available for download from the 1.15 add-on server! This is quite late considering when it was updated by MoonyDragon, but I realized I never actually uploaded it  I haven't made many changes or improvements yet, as life's been busy and I feel less str...

Selecting and Moving Only One Unit At a Time
I have a scenario in which there are Galleon units scattered about the map, all on deep water hexes (Wo). What I want is for every new turn, the game to pick a random galleon unit and then assign a random "goto" target for it. The "goto targets" in question will all be shallow wa...

Re: Procedure for determining version numbers for add-ons
Also, (in light of using the above methods) if you have something like this:
1.1.9
And you make another patch, something small like a bug-fix, the next would be:
1.1.10, 1.1.11 and so on...
Instead of:
1.2.0.

Re: I'm back, after a very long absence.
Just wanted to pop in and express that I'm in a similar situation. After 10 years of absence from this game, I decided to return and make campaigns for it again. I'm happy to see the community is still thriving, although I do feel there's less happening on the forums. Everything's moved to discord, ...

Re: [POLL] What is the best drake campaign in your opinion?
Burning Souls might still be ported by the original author as I recall he made a post about that. Yes, I actually have polished it up, but a few things are still outdated (namely, the JOURNEY maps). Now that I think about it, it might be best to share, despite some unfinished areas. Feedback's alwa...

Re: Crelanu (Canon Infos)
That's an issue in most Wesnoth campaigns, I'd say. Take Kalenz: a legendary, centuries-old elvish lord, who is just like any other lvl 3 elvish lord in terms of attacks and powers. Or Delfador: a legendary human mage, arguably the greatest in Wesnothian history, yet he's weaker than a standard lvl...

Re: Wesnoth Geology
How embarrassing. I meant climate mostly, and secondly geography. But again, I retort my lack of knowledge on these sorts of things. Anyway, your comparison to Europe is interesting, as it puts the island of Bilheld closer to the Faroe/Shetland/Orkney islands around Great Britian. This is pro...

Wesnoth Climate + Geography (and Geology)
I'm currently working on brushing up my campaign Burning Souls which takes place on the island of Bilheld. I was reworking some of the map design when something occurred to me. You see, by default, I figured the island would be tropical, most accurately comparable to Hawaii, as far as our own world ...

Re: The Quixotic Kings art, Penguins and more!
These are awesome, keep up the good work! :) EDIT: Just released I never responded to something in your last post: As for the penguin balance you are probably right, I'm just thinking of how I would balance the Move points. Penguins are a strange species to balance. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It might be fun to have...

Re: Is ghoul poison really poison?
It spawns an interesting thought on what the presence of undead in a medieval setting would really do to people's health and hygiene. Makes me want to research what sort of disease and plagues could spread just by the mere presence of so many corpses (which is what the undead units are). Never mind...
