First off, exporting the state is quite easy, if you just want a raw state you can use the code that creates the savefiles wml (if you don't like wml then convert to something else, still not that hard) In reference to this comment, I would like to bring attention to a wmlparser python file that cu...

Re: Screen resolution won’t change
Method 3 of this article sounds like something that you can try (but enable instead of disable "low resolution mode". It's possible OP was in low-resolution mode, and then the cat somehow disabled low-resolution mode, and now low-resolution mode needs to be reenabled. Not entirely sure abo...

Re: Interaction of Quick with Strong and Resilient
hmm, my two cents, what if you just think of it like how in genetics, two genes side by side swapping places can still produce the same output but have a very very subtle difference in gene expression (the output) just because the positions are swapped. Mechanically speaking, it does not seem to con...

Re: Future of the game?
An example of an open-source game that did crowdfunding was Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead. According to a YouTube video I watched, the person who was supposed to be hired to work on it disappeared when the crowdfunding campaign finished (not with the money) and someone else stepped into the "paid d...

1328: When you are willing to go back 4-5 scenarios back or to the start of a campaign even though you are in the middle because your gold carryover and recall list is all wrong.

The browser version, when in fullscreen mode, looks practically like a native ...

Re: SLOW Performance Issues: post here to report
Problem details; Unit movement animations are not smooth and are played back jerkily but only in certain situations. Often the game freezes and the system asks if you want to wait or if you want to terminate Wesnoth. Most of the time after choosing to wait the game performance returns to normal but...

Re: Proposals to improve new player experience
Campaigns outside the map and timeline could just have a custom image in their place. I wonder what kind of image is appropriate for Under the Burning Suns. Maybe show a map of the territory that is known to the main character at the beginning of the story. This means it doesn't include territory t...

Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation
If you can't work out a system where you don't break translations by changing en_US text, at least apply the same rule for translatable strings as you do for code and WML: do not allow changes to be ported to the stable branch if they break compatibility (with existing translations). In your opinio...

Re: Citadel of Drand [MP Assault/Siege PvP Campaign]
If scenario objectives is crowded we could also use the Map Description in the "Create Game" menu.--> More instructions given in scenario objectives
--> Getting a little crowded in there.
