Re: SotBE mission 3 possible bug - recalling units
Ok so I tried to reproduce it (sorry just now reading the "must read" thread :p), it seems to be linked to the save I made after finishing the scenario but before moving on to the next. If I try to continue the campaign from that save it will not let me recall. If I load from the last turn...

SotBE mission 3 possible bug - recalling units
I just installed latest version of Wesnoth 1.11.16 and started the revamped SotBE campaign. I had several level 2s at the end of the first scenario "End of Peace" but am unable to recall anyone. I skipped the Human Army scenario and went stragiht to "Towards Mountains of Haag". B...

Attacking at favorable time of day
An issue I've been having, in 1v1 especially is how to make my opponent be forced to fight me during a time favorable to me. Often we just both retreat as soon as dusk/dawn hits and neither of us manages to really fight. How can you force your opponent to have to face you when it suits you? It's les...

Hardest campaigns?
I'm almost done with HttR and I want a brutal challenge next (i.e. a bunch of Siege of Elsenfar type scenarios). What's a good pick?

Re: Any way to have a "fixed" RNG?
That quoted text says it's already that way in the game but if I reload an autosave and re-do the exact same moves I get a different result. Are you using 1.10.x, 1.11.0, or 1.11.1? I think someone suggested that there might a bug with handling of the RNG state in some 1.11.x version. As for me, wh...

Using new AI in campaigns Split from: Defence strategies?...
When will this new AI be an option? (the "Ron AI") Although in campaigns the AI usually has a pretty significant advantage, I would still prefer a better AI. The harder the better for me generally when it comes to games like this. The AI seems really good at knowing what units to attack an...

Good music for playing Wesnoth?
As good as the game's tracks are (and they are very solid for game) it does get repetitive after a while. What is some good stuff to listen to while playing? Some (non cheezy) fantastic type stuff, maybe even ambient. I don't listen to much music that would really fit the mood.

Re: Scenario 9: The Valley of Death
(1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on? Medium (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 9 at first, but once I figured out a "trick" I'd say more like 3. (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? Clear (4) How clear and interes...

Re: Any way to have a "fixed" RNG?
Ya pre-seeding is what I want (where re-loading it will make no difference if you try to attack the same unit again with the same unit you used before). I looked at that thread but I don't know anything about programming. So is there way to force the game to pre-seed? (I guess that's what it's calle...

Re: Any way to have a "fixed" RNG?
Yeah it's not that I don't like the luck factor I do, and I enjoy it. I'm not talking about a purely deterministic game. I just mean that the luck of each round is predecided. It's just that I wish the luck were "fixed" each time. I believe Jagged Alliance 2 did this. In other words no amo...

Any way to have a "fixed" RNG?
What I mean is that every die roll is pretedermined and comes out the same every time. It would be a nice option if isn't already (just got into this game), rather than having to do it self imposed.
