Re: Galactic Empires (MP Sci-fi Scenario)
Hello, Nice to see an update for this awesome mod! That said, I noticed the Servicer image was one of mine. I have no problem with that, but I think it's such an ugly piece of work that I did it over just now. Hope this one looks better and will be used instead! Also, as this isn't an art thread, if...

Greetings.
Do you have space for a caveman with a club? Or should I change it to something else?

Re: Rbuck's Junk thread (currently Steelhiveish Villages)
I come bearing gifts! Although it isn't Christmas yet... The new version has a lot more detail: a network of pipes, several grills and windows, a recessed garage door with a light code, etc.. I have also added an animation of flashing lights and stuff. However, it is way too large, it still has no s...

When I was playing Son of the Black-Eye I had a rider named Radish.
He was pretty hot because he carried a torch.

Re: Coolest Faction (keep it nerdy)
For me, the coolest faction (I don't have much experience with non-mainline, btw) would be Rebels. Principally because of the Ranger and, somewhat lesser, the Wose. When I studied all the great military minds of the ancient world, I noticed that so many tactics of theirs relied on camouflage, fakery...

To change the style of artwork, here's a big floating eyeball.
To avoid copyright issues, I'll call it The Eyeball with No Name.
Palette taken from the cuttlefish.

Re: Will be Wesnoth forever 2D-only?
There's always the chance that someone forks Wesnoth and replaces the current graphics with 3D ones. That would take not only new graphics but also a lot of new code. However, if someone does, I'd be one to pitch in and help with graphics. Not that I think 3D Wesnoth is any better, but that I think...

Re: Rbuck's Junk thread (currently Steelhiveish Villages)
Overhauled the village. It now has: flaking paint or whatever, rivets over the central seam, rust running from exterior features, a new, dark window (with red light) over the garage, a corrugated garage roof, a row of lights (one burned out) by the door. I like your shiny look, but I still think you...

(Very) Basic WML Questions
I'm working on a WML-intensive mod atm, wondering about some stuff I came across. To start with, what do the dots mean in variable names? Are they just for organizing variables under different "headings", and acceptable to use for any variable, or do they mean specific variables for larger...

Re: Rbuck's Junk thread (currently Steelhiveish Villages)
Redrew one of the villages. Terrain art doesn't need extra blurring or randomness. I don't know, I've seen a lot of villages -- dwarvish-1 for example -- that looked very much like someone had gone over it with an airbrush. then there's a tool for flipping things. That wasn't the problem... I was ha...

Re: Rbuck's Junk thread (currently Steelhiveish Villages)
:augh: :augh: :augh: How the heck do I do this? Most (all?) terrain is not pixel-art. I'm using Gimp 2.6, so I tried airbrushing it but the airbrush keeps using the same random seed (some areas are too constricted to go over with the brush several times) and the result is that the village looks like...

The two lizards there have distinctly different styles (I can't tell which one I like better, though )
That's really about all I can see, all the other sprites are quite nice!

Re: Only round 1 of berserk applies first strike: intentiona
I think it makes more sense to apply firststrike only once. Literally, first-strike means that you strike first, and then the enemy strikes. It doesn't say that the enemy can't strike first on successive rounds. Let's say you have a Spearman. They strike first because they have a long spear and can ...

Re: Rbuck's Junk thread (currently Steelhiveish Villages)
Why is the light coming from that angle? I don't really know. I think that was where the light source in my concept sketch was. Maybe I've always done it from there. @Paulomat4 and Doomchicken: does this help? Added a dim, red light somewhere in the depths. I should have thought of that long ago. W...
