Re: Need some fake bullying comments about campaigns for a meta-campaign
Thank you all for the great quotes! I plan on including all the depressing ones, but I might save the funny ones for any future projects. Really appreciate this!

Re: Need some fake bullying comments about campaigns for a meta-campaign
Thank you, this is very useful! I'd love to use some of these and include you in the credits. The text adventure one made me laugh, the 'suddently turned dark' one fits perfectly in the overall setting, and several of the others work perfectly as well.

Need some fake bullying comments about campaigns for a meta-campaign
I'm making one last campaign, a Loyalist campaign. I made a poll on what kind of campaign to do, a creepypasta, a 'you're the villain', or a holy grail quest, and all three got equal responses, so I'm doing a blend of the three. In my campaign you play through bits of an old Wesnoth's other campaign...

Re: Call for mainline portraits and story art
From an outside perspective, the mainline seems pretty active! I’ve been modding for a little over 6 years, and I’ve seen three new campaigns added to mainline, one taken out, several rewritten, a new faction added, and new art added for mainline units, with most of that happening just in the last f...

Re: Making a dialogue tree with WML
Huh, I guess you're right. I had to simplify my code to get something I could post on here, so I guess doing that fixed the bug. I feel dumb now but I wouldn't have gotten it to work without posting and seeing your comment, so thanks!

Making a dialogue tree with WML
I'm making a non-traditional campaign that is a creepypasta and involves quite a bit of dialog. I'd like to make a dialogue tree, similar to choice-based games like Twine. I can already get one choice to work (this is wrapped in one big 'event' tag): [message] speaker=David message= _ "[Initial...

Re: The Great Steppe Era (1.16 add-on server)
Is there like a manual or guide for what each unit does in this, without playing the game directly? I really enjoy reading up on units.wesnoth.org about different abilities of different units in different campaigns, and GSE is famous (to me) for being one of the most complex and good-looking multipl...

Re: Shakespeare's Ghost (Version 1.0 on 18.0 server)
I think the way it works is that there are always two version of wesnoth, one even numbered and one odd numbered. The even numbers are normal and stable versions while the odd numbers are experimental, possibly buggy and subject to change. The two versions have different add-ons. I never published a...

Re: Shakespeare's Ghost (Version 1.0 on 18.0 server)
I’ve only updated on 1.18. I actually reformatted my computer and lost all my _server.pbl files, so I don’t really have access to update the 1.16 ones anymore. I could ask the dev team for access but with 1.18 only two weeks away I’m not sure it’s worth it.

Need feedback on making one last campaign
Hello! I've been making Wesnoth campaigns since 2018. While I've always enjoyed Wesnoth's main campaigns and many of the UMC campaigns (especially the Ooze one and Invasion from the Unknown), I've always wanted to know what playing the multiplayer factions are like since I don't have time to play re...

Re: Shakespeare's Ghost (Version 1.0 on 16.0 server)
Shakespeare's Ghost has now been published to 1.18! This one was kind of a mess; the campaign image wasn't working, and a lot of stuff was deprecated. Playing the beginning, it was pretty frustrating, but the later part was a lot more fun. So, I made several changes: -In scenario 1, you had only gho...

Re: Santa Must Die - Rebels campaign Version 1.0 on 1.16 servers
I've now published this one to 1.18 as well. Unlike my other campaigns I've updated this week, I have not made any balance changes, just bug fixes. Playing through, this campaign seemed well-balanced and pretty fun, and I didn't see major problems with the text. If I ever make a big change in the fu...

Re: Goblin's Glory (Northerners campaign) version 1.0 on the 1.16 servers
I've updated this to 1.18 and published it. A few projectiles had to be added in. The most significant change is the first scenario, which I found very imbalanced upon replay. It's a goblins vs drakes battle, and originally had Drake Burner and Drake Gliders. I moved you ally (some wolves) much clos...
