Re: What is the appeal of a rogue-like game?
On the other hand, I find it much easier to tell the difference between a D, an N, an S, a semicolon, and a purple parenthesis than I do between the squiggly lines (and in 8x8 or 16x16 there's not a whole lot of distinguishing features you can put in that are detectable with a quick glance) that ma...

Re: Games discussion
I played Skyrim! I enjoyed the game - definitely the best Elder Scrolls game yet - but the dungeons (indoors enemy areas) were definitely the weakest part of the game. They were very linear and very... consistent in the worst sense psossible - for every room there w as a consistent set of enemies to...

Re: Perspectives
This is just a shallow language problem. You speak as if, if someone says the "value of a thing" without clear indication of what is the purpose towards which the value is measured, then this purpose should be understood to be the purpose towards which the thing is more valuable than towar...

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
This tread was not about expressing how much you like wrong perspectives, Crow_T , it has the sole purpose to find out what a mainline vampire is, and so, your post has nothing to add but confusion. I agree. Fix, http://i.imgur.com/ucsrNRH.jpg * * * Yeah I think "virus" - even the word it...

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
We could have a vampire race, but there is still room for different races of elves, dwarves, humans, etc... I think that's a very wrong perspective - new "factions" for elves/dwarfs/humans wouldn't be very useful, rather what would be great would be a bunch more units who would blend in i...

Re: Discussion about elves
Whenever a lumberjack comes across a wose, the latter will take great care not to crush his body. The bones, intact and strong, are to be given to the elven allies of the wosekind so that they may be crafted into swords.

Re: My sprites. / Use Opengameart.org as sprite repository!
I was going to do a paint-over of Vultraz's dragon ( http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=34427&start=105 ) but tired halfway through; I think I'll finish it later but then again I always think that :| Dragons are fun; here's a non-wesnoth-compliant dragon i made a while ago, http:...

In my private IRC channel, I linked it to my 63 friends. Together we laughed at it and discussed how it is ugly, and how its creator is likely also ugly and has no friendsFlameslash wrote:EDIT: 64 views and no replies? You guys are mean!
