Update: I figured out additional way to do the transform, where the pattern is repeated only once per hex. It will also be rotated 45 degrees, which may be useful in many cases. Check it out.

Re: Tutorial: the square to hex tile transfer function
Unfortunately, the pictures in the tutorial don't seem to be loading
(I know the topic is old, but since the tutorial is still maintained at wesnoth.org, it seemed to me that it wouldn't be a problem to reply to this topic)

Looks like the images were hosted on a third-party server (likely the private website of Sgt. Groovy, who posted this tutorial), and this server (koti.welho.com) is not responding to HTTP (or ping, for that matter) anymore.

Maybe it doesn't want your pings, maybge it wants nice pictures in return for its own nice pictures. The true trick is, what kinds of nice pictures does it want?pauxlo wrote:Looks like the images were hosted on a third-party server (likely the private website of Sgt. I've grabbed the images and when someone with the right permissions shows up, I'll throw them somewhere up on wesnoth.org
