Statistics: Art contributors?
Do we have any statistics to know how many people were active, or are active now,
with a focus on art? Here I refer to graphics/images mostly, but we can extend this
to ALL art in general, including creativity/storytelling.
I don't need the specific dataset as such, just roughly to see a trend. People's interest comes
and goes, but I was usually focusing on programmers and scenario creators, and less
so on the artists. Some artists were kind of cool though and I wonder how they created
things such as the "To Unknown Lands" stuff.

Re: Statistics: Art contributors?
I am not sure if such statistics exist, but you can browse the history of "wesnoth/images" on github to see what was added/changed by who and when: https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/comm ... ter/images
(from what I can tell there was a lot of activity between 2005-2007).
You can also visit the older screenshots page to see how much the game's graphics have evolved over the last years: https://wiki.wesnoth.org/Older_Screenshots
I believe there are fewer artists actively contributing to the game nowadays than in the past, but the current quality of art assets is much higher than it used to be in the early days. Portraits and terrain are the best examples.

Well, I am the person responsible for TLU graphics, so if you have any questions, you can ask in TLU's thread or send me a PM.
