Re: Scenario 9: Training Session
(1) Difficulty level & Version?
(4) What were the major challenges you faced?
- Corrupt (Challenging) 1.13.8
- 2
- This scenario seemed less about the story and more to give the player chance to level up the new Loyal units and the Dark Adepts.
(4) What were the major challenges you faced?
- Finding openings to kill enemies with my new Level 0 Loyal allies.
- 2, but it's nice to have a chance to 'safely' level your units.
- This could be the place to reference back to the items in Ras-Tabahn's cave. He could give a potion to each of the new Level 0 Loyal units. Maybe they could each gain a new trait. Or that orb in the cave could give one of units the ability to teleport from village to village, like a Silver mage. (I like it when my units are special.)
Re: Scenario 9: Training Session
1) 1.14.1, difficult
2) 5 - manageable without problems, but rather scenario to loose few units than to level them (at least on hard and in my case)
3) OK
4) The objectives are unclear. It says, that you have to manage to keep alive at least one adept in order to win. On my first try I lost all adepts and nothing happened, so I reloaded and proceeded with different strategy, because I saw it as cheating (is it a bug?)
5) 7 - small scale battles about tactical positioning are nice

It is a bug in fact. It used to work fine. I submitted bug a report.SanDonk wrote: ↑May 28th, 2018, 6:22 pm 4) The objectives are unclear. 1.14.5, Corrupt (Challenging), 100 gold
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
4
(3) What did you think about the dialog and story?
Below par for the campaign.
(4) What were the major challenges you faced?
Keeping adepts protected. Getting the level-0s some kills.
(5) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
4
(6) What suggestions do you have to make it more fun?
While the enemies are varying, this is the third scenario in a row that is basically a battle in a open plain (back to and including Following the Shadow). Something to break that up would be welcome.

(3) What did you think about the dialog and story?
- Seems like an interesting way to train units
(4) What were the major challenges you faced?
- Not much, just making sure dark adepts are alive

Re: Scenario 9: Training Session
(1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on?
1.14.5. Middle Difficulty.
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
Easy: 3
(3) What did you think about the dialog and story?
Doesn't advance the plot, just levels up units. I'm fine with that.
(4) What were the major challenges you faced?
It wasn't challenging. I am a very defensive player, and this map is easy to defend against slow-moving undead corpses. I used only level 1 recalls, as well.
(5) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
5 - fun to slaughter the corpses
(6) What suggestions do you have to make it more fun?
I think it's OK. Not every level needs to be grand. It is gratifying to level-up my units. I converted my juvenile delinquents to dark adepts, although I was thinking the footpad route would be better given that I can recruit dark adepts anyway. It will be interesting if this has impact on the plot.

2) 7. I lost 2 Dark Adepts.
3) Nifty
4) Getting XPs for the 0-level townfolk.
5) 8. I liked the premise: the boss supervises while the Dark Adepts handle the undead.
6) None

(1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on?
Diabolic (Difficult) and Version 1.14.16
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
5
I used recklessly a couple of the adepts and fed xp to the rest.
(3) What did you think about the dialog and story?
Very Good.
(4) What were the major challenges you faced?
Getting Carcyn some xp.
(5) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
9
(6) What suggestions do you have to make it more fun?
Maybe add a few 0 level zombies (without replacing the Souless as there is no need for the scenario to be easier) so that Carcyn could get some xp without risking death.
