Re: 1.18 - Forgotten Legacy - Unfinished (5 Scenarios Ready)
Uploaded a ported Version for 1.18.
Re: 1.18 - Forgotten Legacy - Unfinished (5 Scenarios Ready)
Looks, like something went wrong on the normal difficulty, there is no turn limit and the orc is not spawning any troops.
I'm not sure how to approach it on the hardest difficulty, a handful of L0 saurians doesn't seem enough to push through multiple Orcs in 13 turns.
Visually, it's kinda weird that the saurians use human castles. The swamp looks nice though, if a bit plain. It's kinda noticeable how old the campaign is.

I just ported the campaign. I already got some ideas for the castles. I do not like the human castles as well.
I plan to change many things. Still considering, if I should upload two version.
A legacy version, where everything keeps the same.
And my version.
I tend to the second step. Maintaining only my vision of the addon.
Re: Forgotten Legacy - Unfinished (5 Scenarios Ready)
The campaign is unfinished and even the existing scenarios (at least the first one) lack polish, simply because that kind of polish didn't exist in Wesnoth back then. I don't think there is much value in keeping some random intermediary version playable.
Re: Forgotten Legacy - Unfinished (5 Scenarios Ready)
Also, I'm feeling stupid, I've now tried on easy and can't figure out how to play this at all. Couldn't do anything to that group of grunts. At least on Hard there were wolfriders to farm for XP.
Re: Forgotten Legacy - Unfinished (5 Scenarios Ready)
btw, I was checking out the map editor and still had this map stuck in my head, So I played around with it. Here in case it's useful:

If you can finish it and enhance the current quality of it, then proceed by all means. And my version.

Oh that's looks quite good :O
I dont know if I can keep up with such map quality.
I like the orc castle looks like a enslaver outpost. Thumps up.
The saurian settlement also looks good. I created yesterday new encampment tiles.
Toll encampment walls with swampy terrain.
Let's see if I can integrated that into your map.

I was more busy with sprites.
Creating new sprites for the Bloodborne.

I also changed the position of the witch doctor. I think it is a bit counter intuitive to dodge the orcish castle.
And get the ability to train witch doctors at the end of the scenario.

Well, if you like my style I'll continue. I'm still figuring out the other bits and bobs, but drawing maps is fun.
Small change, but it does add to the character.I created yesterday new encampment tiles. Toll encampment walls with swampy terrain.
Let's see if I can integrated that into your map.
Good idea that one. I'm thinking of moving the orc castle a bit to the east to rebalance the map.

Good idea with placing the orc castle a bot to the right.Duke_Anax wrote: ↑April 15th, 2024, 4:40 pmWell, if you like my style I'll continue. I'm still figuring out the other bits and bobs, but drawing maps is fun.

I still need to playtest this campaign... right now I just debugged my way through the code.
I really like your style I already put you in the credits.
When I'm ready for the next update, your should be able to use the new swampy terrain tiles.
Right know I'm working on a saurian resource pack and I'm preparing here and there new sprites for the campaign. Right now bloodworm and with doctor got new sprites.
They are not much, but still a lot of work. I can polish them later.
Re: Forgotten Legacy - Unfinished (5 Scenarios Ready)
