I think perhaps when the horsemen CHARGE a unit, they should come out on the other side, as they have CHARGED and so have probably done a runby on there horses attacking the enemy unit.
I think it's kinda weird that you get extra experience for the killing blow. Now, maybe it's just me, but it remids me of the bad old times playing role-playing games and stealing kills by accident or design.
As it is now, I always let my mages have the killing blow if possible, thus upgrading...

The cost for a recall is fixed in the game (20) and independant of the unit. That means that it's very advantageous for expensive units but not for cheap units (excepts those with XP).
I suggest a proportional cost to initial cost plus a value which depends on the XP/rank of the unit.

Currently alpha blending for units shadow is implemnted .. the main problem is that units dont have the coded colours ... and there are a heap of images to change.

The new forum theme is available for testing. Right now, I have only changed the colors.
To change your default theme, you must edit your profile, and then select Wesnoth (testing!) in the Board Style field.

Perhaps certain units could have a defend ability, whereby your unit goes into a state of complete defense, if attacked he has no ability to fightback, however the enemies attack is reduced to %30 or %40, depending on terrain.
I have been using Bitstream Vera in place of bluebold.ttf and I think it looks better. It is not a fantasy font but it the font is really nice and clean one.
